Some interesting wedding industry details, each year 350,000 destination weddings take place in the USA, representing 24% of all weddings. Also from 4 couples nearly 1 has a destination wedding with an average of 86 guests. 30% of destination weddings take place outside the US, being the Caribbean and Mexico the most popular wedding locations.

The average destination bride is 30 years old. 51% of destination wedding couples need a wedding planner and 86% of couples still plan to take a honeymoon after their destination wedding.

International destination weddings last longer, nearly 7 to 10 international weddings last three or more days, and nearly half last four or more days. The average spend is $20,890 not including honeymoon, engagement ring or travel expenses.
